First Sheffield Friendship Lunch
Staff members from Norrie Waite & Slater were happy to support Sheffield’s first friendship lunch in August, along with the Lord Mayor, Deputy Lord Mayor and Sheffield councillors.
The aim of the initiative is to encourage people who feel isolated or lonely to come along and meet people and make new friends over a drink and a meal. The events are open to anyone.
The first lunch was at the Crosspool Tavern and over 30 people attended the event which also included live entertainment and was hailed a great success and highly enjoyable by those who attended.
The lunch was organised by Home Instead Senior Care and was also attended by staff from Sheffield Dementia Action Alliance and the Campaign to End Loneliness.
Future events are planned at the Crosspool Tavern as well as at additional locations in Sheffield and Norrie Waite & Slater solicitors plan to continue to support the initiative in the future.
